Allman Brothers Band sets March shows at Beacon

NEW YORK (Billboard) – The Allman Brothers Band will play 10 shows at New York's Beacon Theater in March after scrapping the 2008 edition of its annual residency while frontman Gregg Allman recovered from hepatitis C. The veteran southern rockers will kick off the 2009 edition on March 9, and will also play March 10, March 12-14, March 16-17 and March 19-21. Ticket information will be unveiled in mid-January. The band has played the Beacon 175 times since 1989, according to a spokesman.
