  • 6 SUN- second installment of the craft fair that Ed Leonard has a local music table at. This takes place at the “museum” on Whitney Avenue just past Books and Co, same side of street. There is a body of water right there for a reference point. This year a stage will be set up with music starting at 11am. We’re on at 12 noon and you know the whole day will have some awesome local talent.

Now for news: P almost had has ass kicked at toad’s place last nite! An ex-bandmate was playing there and she had him come up and play drums on her last song. So he did and the owner of the drums freaked out. Everyone thought that the drums belonged to one of the other bands who were friends with the headliner. Yes, they belonged to one of the other bands but apparently the headliner did not know them. And one of the guys in the headlining band went up and grabbed a guitar and played it but it wasn’t one of his own band’s ones… it could have been a messy situation but the ex-bandmate profusely apologized to the lunkheads and all was well.

While at toad’s we explored downstairs and found the HOTTUB in the dressing room. Did you know there was one in there? Did you ever have any encounters in said tub? We’re guessing that many moons ago that exact spot was teeming with huge bands and many groupies utilizing that very tub. I wonder whose DNA I could have found there- like could I clone a little mick jagger or blackie lawless??? Euwwwwww. Actually we found out that they keep the toad in there and he’s almost outgrown the space.

check this week's Play Magazine, with Rob DeRosa on the cover. they review our disc and we review six random discs ourselves. - First Listen with the Sawtelles - Sawtelles Myspace
