Surprising to see so much hype about tonight's football game at the Superdome. I think it's good for New Orleans, not quite the statement of renaissance that is being proclaimed; a milepost, perhaps, for the Superdome is way too recent to be of historical importance to this city. And the cost of $185 million is less than last Saturday's winning Powerball ticket! The bottom line is there are still too few people living there.As far as the music goes, U2 and Green Day would be pretty cool to hear, but how long will they play and will television audiences be invited? By the way, I thought Hank Williams, Jr.'s opening song last week with Little Richard, Bootsy Collins, and Little Steven Van Zant was pretty cool. As for the football, I could care less - the Brownies blew a sure win yesterday as JFK and I watched in disbelief at Sliders Sports Bar.
