Fat Tuesday at Anthony Jack's

Jambalaya, a spicy concoction of rice with crawfish, chicken, ham and sausage, together with a glass of Greg Norman Shiraz, was just one of the gastronomical delights awaiting the Fat Tuesday revelers on Bourbon Street in Southington. Good evening, welcome to Mardi Gras! More...

stunning site-but the Fat Tuesday event sounds suspiciously like a wine pairing-we actually get to drink all the wine, not just admire its legs, swish it, and spit?????????????
p.s. what do you think of Tom Waits? At my request, Santa brought me his latest cd and it is strange and wonderful, but the hubby hates it-he apparently likes dark wine but not dark music-

Marcia,

Answer to Fat Tuesday comment, yes, five full wine glasses per person. You guys interested?

Tom Waits. I now know the one in your family with taste in music. I have about six or seven Tom Waits albums from the beginning. Loved the Jack Kerouac/ Louis Armstrong bluesy thing; even selected "Postcard from a Hooker in Minneapolis" for the Johnny K's Got the Blues This Christmas CD. I began to lose him as he got more experimental, but I was thinking of trying his new one after reading a review of it. I'll trade you a new Elvis Costello for a new Tom Waits?

I wouldn't know Elvis Costello if he was in my foursome-altho I do think he dates or has wed Diana Krall?-he is one of Gus's favorite artists so that in itself scares me-anyway I will have Dave copy Tom's latest for you, and maybe you can copy one of his oldie but goodies for me-unfortunately I checked my work calendar today and I have a 2 hour evening class to teach at work on the 8th, but maybe Dave can get a date-we suspect that Jennifer left Brad for the big Veejmo-

The BIG veejmo? I'll take your word.

I only have two Elvis Costello CDs (many albums), My Aim Is True and Delivery Man; will make copies of both plus Jon Cleary.

You don't remember Aaaaaallisoooooooon, I know this world is killing you....Aaaaaallisoooooooon, my aim is true?
