G-man taped Conan O'Brien's Monday night show, surprising me with an appearance by James Hunter touring behind his latest, The Hard Way. Conan gave him a good ten minute spot to show off the band. Sounded good, but the song was uninspiring.His Grammy nominated album, People Gonna Talk, is one of my all-time favorites. Caught him twice at the Iron Horse in Northampton, once alone in November 2006 (post), the other time in April 2007 (post) with Keith/Sharie, where Robert was in disappointing voice. Hunter appears tomorrow night at the Blender Theater at Gramercy in NYC with special guest Allen Toussaint.
