The HBO series “Treme” has put the spotlight on the eminently funky music indigenous to New Orleans. Trombone Shorty is a young man on a mission. He's determined to spread the good-time vibes of New Orleans music, in all its stylistic guises, to audiences around the world. The multi-instrumentalist and singer, born Troy Andrews, carries his mission to Connecticut on Friday at Norfolk's Infinity Hall with his group, Orleans Avenue. Concertgoers should be prepared to be showered by Orleans Avenue's multidirectional grooves, searing guitar leads and dance-happy horn charts.
